On November 5th some of our 7th and 8th Grade Faith Formation youth took a trip to St. Joseph Cathedral. They toured the Cathedral and then stayed for the 4:30pm Mass. We were especially touched when both Fr. Bob’s brother, Michael Wardenski and our retired parish secretary, Gay Ann McEwen were included in the Prayer of the Faithful there.
Many of the young people were fascinated by the organ (it has 5000 pipes), and they were all intrigued by the Reliquary that contains 366 relics!
On Saturday, October 22nd a group of our parishioners helped prepare the Rural Outreach Center’s Code Blue Shelter in Holland. In just 3 hours they cleaned the yard, painted 2 bedrooms and the living room, cleaned the windows (inside and out), blinds, bathroom, and kitchen including the refrigerator and stove. WOW! It was incredible to see the body of Christ at work!
This Parish Service Day was part of our Diocese’s 175th Anniversary Celebration. Thank you to all of the volunteers who served that day! Please continue to pray for the Rural Outreach Center’s efforts to help our brothers and sisters in Christ.
On Sunday, June 12th we celebrated the ministry and service of Sr. Judy Beiswanger, Director of Faith Formation and Mr. Joseph Duttweiler, Principal at the 11:15am Mass. Our Social Committee provided a beautiful reception for everyone.
Both of them are retiring this month, and we are tremendously grateful for all of their dedication and commitment to forming children and young people in our faith! May this next chapter of their lives be blessed with health and happiness!
On Sunday, March 6th our RCIA candidates participated in the Rite of Election at St. Joseph Cathedral. Please keep Jack, Kimberly, Mark, Quinn and Sam in your prayers. We look forward to celebrating their sacraments with them at the Easter Vigil!
On Wednesday, February 16 a videographer from WBBZ-TV and representatives from the Foundation for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo came to our school to film our commercial that will be part of the televised program on Sunday, April 3 at 8pm which will include Fr. Bob’s reception of the Champion of Catholic Education Award.
They took additional footage that will be part of the one hour program, and they interviewed Mr. Duttweiler, Principal, and Sr. Judy Beiswanger, Director of Faith Formation.
Mark your calendar to watch this special moment for our parish and our pastor!
