RCIA Rite of Election

RCIA Rite of Election

On Sunday, March 10th our RCIA Candidates participated in the Rite of Election. The first part was done at the 9:30am Parish Mass. The candidates went to the Cathedral at 2pm to complete the Rite of Election with Bishop Malone. We have six adults preparing for full initiation into our Church at the Easter Vigil. Two of them are elect which means that they will receive all three Sacraments of Initiation at the Easter Vigil. Please keep them in your prayers!

Lenten Series Begins This Week!

Lenten Series Begins This Week!

You are invited to explore Lent with three dynamic ladies on three Wednesday evenings! This Wednesday, March 27th Eileen Warner, Adjunct Faculty Member of Canisius College, will speak about Almsgiving. Eileen has served in diocesan youth ministry offices in Boston and Buffalo. She was a Pastoral Associate at St. Gregory the Great Parish for many years and most recently served as the Director of Mission Advancement at Christ the King Seminary. She is a noted speaker throughout our diocese. We look forward to being inspired by her words and experience. The talks will be held in the school cafeteria.
Ann Marie Eckert will be speaking on Fasting on April 3rd.
Kathy Heffern will be speaking on Prayer on April 10th.
These evenings are open to both men and women. We hope you’ll join us!

Three Receive Manus Christi Award

Three Receive Manus Christi Award

At the Diocesan Youth Convention on March 3rd three of our young people received the Manus Christi Award. Usually parishes only nominate one graduating senior, but we could not select only one of these three amazing young people. The Awards Committee agreed with us! We are very proud of Anna Brach, Aidan Doyle and Blaise Doyle! All three of them serve as Youth Leaders for our youth ministry programs. Anna is also a member of our youth retreat team. Anna and Blaise served as Youth Ambassadors at the National Catholic Youth Conference in 2017 too. Congratulations Anna, Aidan and Blaise!
